Andy James

Andy is an Ex-Army pilot who has flown helicopters in various theatres around the world, having joined the British Army at 19 straight from school. After 11 years of service, Andy left the Military to follow a career in commercial flying.  He has flown for several major airlines, including easyJet and Emirates, where he ultimately became a Training Captain on the A380.

He has lived in both the Far East and Middle East and returned to the UK with his family to change careers, after 30 years of flying. He currently works for a major corporate insurance broker in London.

Andy enjoys a wide variety of activities and sports, including skiing and running and is kept busy with his children’s endless sporting fixtures over the weekends!

Andy is a talker and fairly lively and enjoys life as much as possible and is often mistaken for the actor Hugh Laurie (but is clearly better looking - apologies Hugh [ed]).

JP King

JP joined the Army after university and flew helicopters before leaving to set up a consultancy in London whilst also continuing to fly as a reserve member of the UK Armed Forces. His work has taken him all over Africa and the Middle East, often for long periods whilst the children were young which wasn't easy!

JP is currently a partner in a London-based Management Consultancy and lives in Wiltshire with his family including Shona the dog.

He loves to travel and tries desperately to keep fit by running and cycling although his kids think that his 'lycra-clad body' should not be seen by the rest of the world! He is also probably the only person you will ever meet in your life that has dropped a dinosaur...!
